Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water; mix until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  4. Scatter sliced strawberries evenly over the batter without mixing them in.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  6. While cake is baking, beat together cream cheese and butter until creamy.
  7. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beat until smooth and fluffy.
  8. Allow cake to cool completely, then spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
