Smoked Salmon and Cucumber Ribbon Salad with Cream Cheese

This refreshing smoked salmon and cucumber ribbon salad combines silky cream cheese and fresh dill for a light, elegant appetizer perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 200g smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 1 large cucumber
  • 100g cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: capers and fresh dill sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Using a vegetable peeler, slice the cucumber into thin ribbons and place them in a bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Toss the cucumber ribbons lightly with olive oil and a pinch of salt.
  4. Arrange smoked salmon slices on a serving plate and layer cucumber ribbons on top.
  5. Dollop or pipe the cream cheese mixture evenly over the salmon and cucumber ribbons.
  6. Garnish with capers and fresh dill sprigs if desired.
  7. Serve immediately or chill for 10 minutes before serving for enhanced flavors.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a sprinkle of finely chopped red onion or a few drops of horseradish sauce to the cream cheese mixture.
