Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull-Apart Loaf with Mozzarella

This Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull-Apart Loaf with Mozzarella is a deliciously gooey and flavorful appetizer perfect for gatherings or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round loaf of bread (such as sourdough or Italian)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a sharp bread knife, make diagonal cuts across the loaf about 1-inch apart, then cut in the opposite direction to form a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Carefully pull apart the sections of the bread and brush the garlic butter mixture inside all the crevices.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese generously into the cuts and crevices of the bread.
  6. Wrap the loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, add some red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture or serve with a marinara sauce for dipping.
