Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers filled with creamy cheese

Crispy air fryer jalapeno poppers stuffed with a rich, creamy cheese filling make a perfect spicy snack or appetizer that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh jalapeno peppers
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes carefully.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture.
  5. Dip each stuffed jalapeno into the beaten egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spraying lightly with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, spray the poppers with a little more cooking spray halfway through cooking. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
